5/9/2010- Bright sunshine, a cool breeze, and a Carolina blue sky were the setting for our big day.  Visitors from several states and other jurisdictions along with the St. Philip's family gathered for the Consecration of our new chapel and the church grounds.   The Consecration and service of Holy Communion were led by Archbishop McLaughlin, the Presiding Bishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church. Since it was also Mother's Day the Mother's present were honored.  A lunch on the grounds followed the service.

4/18/2010- A near capacity congregation filled our new chapel building for its first service of Holy Communion.  We were also blessed to have several members of the clergy from the OAC and other jurisdictions in attendance.  Preaching from 2 Chronicles Chapter 6 Father Gordon encouraged the congregation to look to Jesus Christ for pardon, fulfillment of God's promises, and God's glorious presence.

Please be sure to join us May 9th, 2010 when Archbishop McLaughlin will consecrate our new chapel.

9/20/2009- Archbishop McLaughlin was at St. Philip the Evangelist Anglican Church today to receive Canon George Harding into the church.  Canon Harding was for several decades a priest in the Anglican Communion including distinguished posts such as the Dean of the Cathedral in Freetown, Sierra Leone; and as a Canon of the Church in New York City.    We are so pleased to welcome Canon and Mrs Harding into the OAC family and we look forward to his ministry among us.  The Archbishop's sermon to the nearly filled to capacity chapel encouraged the congregation to make a decisive choice to follow Christ and reject Mammon.
