4/9/2009: Our Maundy Thursday activities began with a time of fellowship and food at 5:30 PM. St. Philip's Maundy Thursday service included Evening Prayer, a foot washing, and Holy Communion. Following the service a vigil began at the altar of repose that lasted until the Stations of the Cross at mid day Good Friday.
4/4/2009: The Last Supper took place at a Passover meal that Jesus ate with His disciples. This fact makes understanding the Passover important for Christians. Christians have been impressed with the popular presentation "Christ in the Passover" given for decades by Jews for Jesus. Our own Sr. Heidi Hawks and family prepared a Seder meal for the St. Philip's family, giving us the opportunity to get a hands on educational view of the Passover meal. Many thanks to all those who worked so hard to give everyone an inspiring experience that will be remembered for a long time.
